Jervis Bay

Jervis Bay National Park is a 3-to-4-hour drive away from Sydney. This is depending on how many stops you make and how many photos you take, though. It is one of my friend Ivonne's favourite places to stay, and we all went for a long weekend. The area has the whitest beaches, it's seriously almost like you're walking on snow. Just warmer.

On the way there, we stopped in Kiama for the Bombo Headlands rock formations in an old quarry, in Wollongong for Fish and Chips, and in Berry to stock up on groceries and barbecue meat.
On the way back, we stopped in Berry again. This time for ice cream and sewing supplies. We also visited the Minnamurra Rainforest walk.

We got really excited when this wallaby showed up on the beach.

Our excitement waned after he started rifling through our backpacks and eating our food...

My beautiful friend Ivonne.

These were the first kangaroos we saw! The skink, I must say, was almost a little more exiting than these guys. They were just chilling in the shade of somebody's house.

At dinner after a sunny day at Murrays Beach.

And on the next day, a not so sunny day on Hyams Beach.

This is what accounts for small scoops of ice cream in Berry, NSW. The kid in the ice cream parlor even used the smaller-than-regular scoop to serve me. Holy cow!

A water dragon.

    1. The plants were very interesting. They reminded me that I was actually on the other side of the world. The bird calls were so different from home as well.

I have a Canon 60D, which I mostly use with a 18-135mm zoom lens. I'm very happy with it! It also has a swivel screen, which is really practical for awkwardly high or low angles. It was a really generous Christmas gift from Marco a few years ago. And you?
