There And Back Again.

Hello! I'm back from Germany! I will give you photos, hopefully tomorrow. In the meantime, let me tell you a few things:

1) Do not trust Google maps on route and timing, it will say 10 hours for what'll take you 14 and it will suggest Western Germany while your sat nav likes Holland.

2) If you ever need to transport a lot of stuff, use a Renault Megane. It's a real tardis!

3) You can never have too many sausages, bread rolls or chocolate.

4) If you need to appease your gran for failing to call her on her birthday, you can cross stitch her something like the below in two evening sessions. The design is from this book. Do you see the french knots? It's the first time I ever understood how to make them! You push the needle in slightly next to where the thread came out, not back into the same hole! Duh!

(Even better than trying to make it up to your Gran with cross stitch: DO call her on her birthday!)

5) If you take your husband Marco to Germany, it will be cold and rainy. Guaranteed.

6) French hypermarches are the bomb!
