Music & Laughter

Do you remember the Keep Calm And Cross Stitch frame I made earlier this year? I made something similar for my friend Cecilia. She is passionate about Salsa, so I wanted to cross stitch a saying that was related to music. I picked this quote, which means something like "The music is riddled with laughter". (Correct my shoddy Spanish, if you can!)

I used a piece of vintage fabric from my stash and embroidered the letters in DMC 714 with the help of waste canvas. I did not use an embroidery hoop, which is why the stitches look a bit crooked. Won't happen again!

  1. How do you cross stitch without the little squares? (I am betraying my beginnerness)

  2. I actually really like the slight wonkiness - it really works with the fun background!

  4. What a great gift idea. I am already thinking this would be brilliant for two wedding presents. I am heading home for a friends wedding in Cape Town and my first idea of a crochet blanket is probably not so feasible considering space but I love the personal home-made touch of this.

  6. Niiiiiik!

Guess what, I am the last to see these photos, of my own gift!

Now it's here in my house and I love it.

I hope to see you soon, I am not used of being away for more than 6 months in a row, now...
